Cats & Kittens Take Over City Hall!

July 31, 2017

Kitsap Humane Society (KHS) cats and kittens are taking over City Hall! In August we’ll be turning City Halls into Kitty Halls in Poulsbo, Bainbridge Island, and Port Orchard.

During each Kitty Hall event, the city will be taken over by all things kitty, including adoptable cats and kittens looking for homes! KHS will be giving out Kitty Hall-themed giveaways, and have booths with information on: low-cost spay/neuter opportunities for cats; barn cats; how to foster kittens; volunteer opportunities; and cat behavior! KHS will also be accepting donated items from our wish list to support the cats and kittens in their care, including wet and dry cat food, cat toys, and cat litter.

KHS took in over 3500 cats and kittens in 2016 and is on track to take in at least that many kitties again in 2017. The Kitty Hall events are one way that KHS is engaging more with community members across Kitsap County on issues related to cats and cat ownership.
