Fundraise for the Animals!

Fundraise for the Animals!
(Be a Pawtastic Pal!)

If you love animals and want to support them with a fundraiser, there are many ways to contribute!
Have a birthday fundraiser on your Facebook page!

Instead of birthday gifts, invite your animal-loving friends and family to support the animals at Kitsap Humane Society. You can get started by going to Facebook’s fundraising page. This is an easy way to fundraise and proceeds go directly to Kitsap Humane Society via Facebook.

Other popular fundraising activities are listed below. You can get started by reviewing our guidelines here.
Questions? E-mail to Kassie Olmsted at kolmsted@kitsap-humane.org.

  • Hold a garage sale to benefit the animals.
  • Invite friends to pledge for a bowl-a-thon, or walk/run/bike/dance or swim-a-thon!
  • Host a bake sale, car wash or other event to benefit the animals.
  • Have a dinner party or cocktail hour, and invite friends to make a donation.
  • Hold a pet food drive in your neighborhood, book club, church, synagogue or school
Tips for planning your event:
1

Set the date and location. Schedule your event for a day, time and location that provides you with plenty of time to plan and promote it properly. Before confirming the date, check with KHS to make sure it doesn’t conflict with another event.

2

Set fundraising goals and a budget. Remember, the lower your costs to produce the event, the higher your contribution will be.

3

Submit the Fundraising Application to Kitsap Humane Society by e-mailing Kassie Olmsted at kolmsted@kitsap-humane.org.

4

Create a “Day of Event” agenda and checklist.

5

Develop a publicity/promotion plan. Flyers, posters and other promotional materials will help generate awareness and excitement about your event.

6

Have the event! With proper planning, you can have a fun and successful event. Once your event is over, submit the proceeds to Kitsap Humane Society and start planning your next event. (Oh, and don’t forget to take pictures and send them to us! We occasionally feature our #pawtasticpals on our Facebook page and would love to include your story!)
