Volunteer

Volunteer Update:

Beginning Monday, July 12, we will be accepting new dog-walking volunteers only. We are not currently onboarding new volunteers for other areas at this time. We are so grateful that you are interested in joining our team, and hope to be able to begin welcoming other new volunteers to our shelter soon. Please stay tuned, and in the meantime, stay safe and healthy!

We need you!

Kitsap Humane Society has an extensive and strong volunteer program, with volunteers working with almost every single department within the shelter.

Volunteers are needed for a variety of positions and help with all kinds of duties at the shelter and off-site. While most volunteer positions involve animal handling, KHS also has plenty of volunteer duties that are suitable for people who don’t want to handle animals.

KHS accepts volunteers 16 years old and up.  Limited positions (with parent/guardian supervision) are also available for kids 13-15 years old.
