Odie is our Pet of the Week!

Hi, my name is O’Donnell, but you can call me Odie (Intake #9255). I would love you forever if you would just call me to the play yard! I really enjoy being outside, especially if that means we’ll be playing fetch, going for a walk or practicing my obedience skills. (I know lots of commands!) I would be happiest as the sole pet in an adult-only household. Please come meet me and other adoptable animals at Kitsap Humane Society, open six days a week.

Help us "Spay it Forward"

Spaying or neutering your pet is the most effective remedy to prevent pet overpopulation. For every one human born, 15 puppies and 45 kittens are born. Altering your pet can prevent the birth of thousands of unwanted animals in the future. That’s why we’re asking you to “Spay it Forward.”

Reduced Price on our 2012 KHS Calendar!

Our 2012 calendars are now available for just $10. There's still time to get yours! Our 2012 edition features the pets of the four Animal Krackers online auction winners as well as our very own residents/alumni.

All proceeds go directly to the shelter. You can pick up yours from our lobby or have it shipped to you for an additional $2. Special thanks goes to Andy Jordan for his amazing work on the 2012 calendar. As in years past, he graciously donated his time and talent to this project.

Lurch is our Pet of the Week

Hello, my name is Lurch (Intake #12388) and I’m a real outdoorsman! I would make a great barn cat because I love being outside. But I'm such a sweet, super friendly guy, I'd be happy to join my new family in a house or garage at nighttime. I just can't wait to find a place to call home where I can roam. (I've put on a couple pounds and I could use the exercise.) I get along with other cats, though I prefer to hang out with mostly mellow kitties. Please come meet me and other adoptable animals at Kitsap Humane Society, open six days a week.
