Zelda is looking for love

Hi, my name is Zelda (Intake #27410), I’ve been waiting for my forever home since mid-March and I’m ready to find love. I’m a beautiful Tortoiseshell and I will seek your attention, but I do have some “Tortitude.” Because I can occasionally get over-stimulated I need a home without small children because they may not recognize when I've had a little too much love. I'm quite the talker too and love to converse with you! It can take me a little time to warm up to new environments, but once I do I’m a very loyal companion.

Buster is waiting to meet you!

Hi, my name is Buster (Intake #27970), and I’m the man! I was brought to the shelter as a stray in early April. My owner later identified me, but was unable to keep me so I’ve been waiting patiently for my new forever family to pick me. I love walks and all outdoor activity. I especially like to run like the wind in the exercise yard. I’m friendly and playful, but I appear to not like other dogs so I may do best as the only pet in the home. My kennel is always clean which tells the staff and volunteers that I’m most likely housebroken. Do I sound like your perfect companion?

Our gift certificates make great Mother's Day gifts!

Show Mom how much you love her this Mother's Day by giving her a gift certificate from Kitsap Humane Society. These certificates allow you to give the gift of adoption, but still allow her to adopt her own animal. Gift certificates are good for any purchase as KHS (pet adoptions, merchandise) or can be used at our microchip/vaccine clinic for animals already owned. You can purchase a gift certificate for any denomination from our front desk. The shelter is open six days a week beginning at noon (closed Tuesdays).

Meet Chessie, our Pet of the Week!

Hi, my name is Chesapeake (Intake #26929), but my friends call me Chessie for short. I’ve been waiting for my forever friend to pick me, but I’m patient. I’m a handsome dude with sweet eyes and I will even paw you to let you know I would like more affection. I was surrendered to the shelter because I didn’t play well with the female cat in my home, but I am said to get along well with male cats and small dogs. Do you think we can be cuddle buddies for life? You can meet me and other adoptable animals at the Kitsap Humane Society, open six days a week.
