May 6, 2011
Calling all equine experts! Scarlet the mini-horse has been diagnosed with Laminitis. She is in urgent need of someone who can take her home and treat her condition properly. She needs to eat soaked hay every three hours. Her feet need to be iced or her legs gel-packed as much as possible over the next couple of days. She needs to have her foot wraps fixed. If Scarlet stays at KHS, volunteers who can help care for her are needed.
The following items are also needed to care for Scarlet:
Gel ice packs (8 small ones)
Elastikon
Vet wrap
Duct tape
