Pet of the Week – Sassy

February 8, 2017

Hello, my name is Sassy (Intake #59395) and I’m a very sweet 2-year-old domestic medium hair mix. I arrived at KHS as a stray with a  litter of very young kittens. I  spent time in a foster home while my kittens grew up and my foster parents said I’m very sweet, playful and affectionate. At the shelter, I’m a little stressed in my kennel, but once I feel comfortable, I’m a complete love and want all your attention. When I want affection, I do an adorable roll over onto my back to catch your eye. My name definitely fits me, as I can be a little feisty, but I’m certainly a lovable kitty. I had some allergy issues when I arrived and I’m on a special diet. The Vet Services team can talk to you more about managing my condition long term in order to keep me healthy. I also sometimes do this silly thing where I will flip my back right foot over on to the knuckle when I walk. This appears to be due to an old injury which may have resulted in possible nerve damage, but does not seem to be painful or affect my mobility. Do I sound like the perfect kitty for you? You can meet me and other adoptable animals at Kitsap Humane Society, open six days a week.
