Pet of the Week — Kit Kat

March 29, 2022

Meet Kit Kat! This handsome senior is just as sweet as his name. Kit Kat adores affection so much that he’ll drool for pets like treats. He’s very easy going, loves to cuddle & relax, and just needs to find the perfect home to give him a break. Kit Kat has been diagnosed with diabetes and requires insulin injections twice a day. His insulin costs about $50 a month, and KHS will provide a full year’s supply of insulin and syringes upon adoption to help get his adopters started! He is not on a prescription diet, and his diabetes is effectively managed with a diet of Friskies pate wet food, an affordable product that can be found in any pet store. Because Kit Kat can be a little sassy some days, he would prefer that all of his family members be over the age of 6. Kit Kat will also thrive in a home where any other pets have a quieter temperament, to ensure that his space will be respected when he needs it.Want to bring Kit Kat home, but not sure about his medical needs? Give him a trial run through our Foster to Adopt program! Take some time to simply get to know Kit Kat in your own home and then see if you’d like him to stay. If you’re curious to get to know this little sweetheart, come to the shelter and take him home today! You can meet Kit Kat and our other adoptable animals at Kitsap Humane Society, open for walk-up appointments on a first-come, first-served basis.
