Pet of the Week – Kipper

July 3, 2019

Meet Kipper (86034)! He is an active boy once he gets comfortable, he would love to go for walks, runs, and hikes with you. Kipper loves to play with all types of toys and really seems to enjoy food puzzles that stimulate his brain. Yummy treats are the fastest way to this boy’s heart as he seems to be very treat motivated. Kipper is a special boy who may not have spent much time inside a home prior to coming into our shelter. Because of this, he finds going through doorways, new rooms, and meeting new people to be pretty scary at first. Once he trusts you, he will feel much more confident trying out all these new experiences! Kipper would do best living in a home (no apartments please – they’re so noisy!) with a fully enclosed fenced-in yard for potty breaks and play time. Kipper will need adult-only adopters because loud noises, sudden movements, and reaching toward him makes him uncomfortable. Once he learns the world is not such a scary place, he will be a loyal and loving companion to you! Kipper is currently spending time in a foster home where he can feel safe and learn all kinds of new house skills! Because he is in a foster home, all of his adoption meets are by appointment only. If you are interested in scheduling a time to meet with Kipper, please email Katherine at kbritton@kitsap-humane.org to request an adoption application. You can meet Kipper and other adoptable animals at Kitsap Humane Society, open six days a week.
