Pet of the Week – Lacy

February 13, 2019

Meet Lacy (62817)! She is a beautiful 2-year-old pit bull mix. She loves to give kisses and say hello to everyone she meets! The quickest way to Lacy’s heart is through lots of butt scratches, cookies, and giving her squeaky toys! She loves people and being the center of all the attention – so much so that she will need to be the only pet in the home. She is super sweet and a BIG love bug! Lacy’s adopters will need to understand that she will not be a dog-park kind of gal and that she prefers human friends to 4-legged friends. Lacy has the personality of a puppy in a big dog package and will need a savvy adopter to help her learn and manage her manners. Due to her high energy and size she will need a home with no kiddos under 16. Lacy will also need a fenced-in yard (no apartments please) to run around in and get all her zoomies out. She is a super smart girl and just needs the right person to show her the ropes and give her the time and consistency she needs. Because she has not lived inside too much prior to coming into our shelter, she will need a patient, dedicated adopter to work with her and show her the amazing luxuries of being an inside dog! If you are passionate about giving pit bulls a better reputation and looking for a good ‘project’ dog to love and care for, Lacy is the perfect girl for you! You can meet Lacy and other adoptable animals at Kitsap Humane Society, open six days a week.
