Pet of the Week – Kona

January 23, 2018

Meet Kona (50353)! She is a gorgeous brown and white pup about 3 years old who is super snuggly and affectionate – and she’s funny too! She almost always has a smile on her face, and has the cutest doggie grin. Kona has a silly personality and is super smart! She knows “sit” and “paw” already and if treats are involved she’s excited to learn even more new stuff! Kona is spending some time in a foster home, and is thriving in a home environment! Her foster home reports that her favorite past time is snoozing on the couch or on her dog bed under a blanket! Kona is housebroken, and prefers a secure fenced yard to run and play in. She loves to lounge in the sun and enjoys the great outdoors (quiet hikes in nature are also on her list of favs!). Strangers and small kids make her nervous, so she would do best in a calm home without many visitors and without any kids. Since new situations and people can be scary, Kona will need a quiet home with not a lot of visitors where she can be given lots of time to settle in and learn to trust her new family. Kona would love a home where she isn’t left alone for too long (being apart from her family really gets her down). Kona needs to be the only pet in the home. If you are looking for a beautiful best friend to share your life with, then Kona might be the dog for you! Kona is currently in foster care – if you would like to know more about her, please e-mail Samantha at sfairweather@kitsap-humane.org.
