Pet of the Week – Kona

September 27, 2017

Meet Kona (ID 50353)! This chubby cutie is about 2 years old and is super snuggly and affectionate with the people she loves – and she can’t wait to find a family that can give her the time she needs to settle in and learn to trust them. With her loved ones, Kona is a “velcro dog” that is happiest when she can be hanging out right by their side! Her former home reports that her favorite past time is snoozing on the couch under a blanket! Strangers and small kids make her nervous, so she would do best in a calm home without many visitors or little ones. Since new situations and people can be scary, Kona would not be expected to be the life of the party.  Kona is housebroken, and prefers a secure fenced yard to run and play in. She loves to lounge in the sun and enjoys the great outdoors (quiet hikes in nature are also on her list of favs!). Kona would love a home where she isn’t left alone for too long (being away from her family really gets her down). Kona needs to be the only pet in the home. If you are looking for a beautiful best friend to share your life with, then Kona might be the dog for you! Kona is available for adoption out of public view. If you would like to meet her, please ask at the front desk. You can meet Kona and other adoptable animals at Kitsap Humane Society, open six days a week.
