Pet of the Week – Sydney

April 12, 2017

Meet Sydney (ID 61642)! Sydney is a very sweet girl who is currently in foster care and ready to find her new home! This beautiful girl is gentle and enjoys spending time with people and is looking for a calm home where she can take her time getting comfortable. Sydney is a little on the shy side, but with some time and gentle care she gains her confidence and is ready for lots of snuggles. Her foster mom reports she is an expert couch cuddler! Sydney loves other dogs and comes out of her shell much more when there is a dog friend around so is looking for a home that has at least one other dog already. That way, she can follow their lead in meeting new people and being comfortable in new places. When she is with her dog friends, Sydney is really playful and goofy! She loves to run zoomies around the yard and chase her dog friends. Sydney loves outings to the beach, and even tolerates wearing doggie clothes! Sydney can be very fearful of loud noises or fast movements, so she would do best in a home (no apartments please) with a fully fenced yard so she can be safe and secure outside and would prefer a quiet home without young kids. Our Vet Services team found that Sydney has urinary crystals, so she is on a prescription diet for urinary health. Her adopters will need to follow up with a full-service vet to ensure that Sydney stays healthy long-term. Sydney is in foster care, so if you’d like to set up a meeting, please e-mail sfairweather@kitsap-humane.org.
