Kitsap Humane Society is hosting an adoption meet and greet day for Lotus, a three-year-old pup who has been in the care of the shelter for more than 260 days. The goal? To get Lotus a forever home in time for the holidays!

Lotus arrived at the Dickey Road shelter in March 2021 after being found as a stray in Port Orchard. Not long after her arrival, Lotus was moved into a foster home where she’s been ever since.

In her foster home, Lotus has been delighting her foster family with what they affectionately deem “Lotus-isms.” She’s also been able to brush up on her doggie manners, learn several new tricks and commands, and enjoy living in a home environment.

Now, Lotus is back at the shelter and her one holiday wish this year is to find her forever family.

Her perfect home? This 70 lb. lap dog would love a home with a fenced-in yard where she can practice her zoomies. She’d do best as your only pet as she loves soaking up all your love and attention. And because she’s a big, strong girl, Lotus needs a home with kids who are old enough to keep up with her bouncy self!

DETAILS: Prospective adopters are encouraged to read about Lotus ahead of time and if possible, fill out an adoption application prior to visiting the shelter. Lotus’ foster family will be on-site during this special event to highlight Lotus and available to answer questions about Lotus!
