Meet Chubby Checkers, adorably sweet and a perfect companion!

Chubby Checkers had a great time in foster recently, where we were able to learn a lot about the wonderful pup he is! This big, lovable guy is happy to make himself at home, whether that’s on a cozy dog bed, the couch, or any comfy spot he can find. He enjoys spending time outside, but what he really loves most is being with his people.

Chubby has great house manners and does a wonderful job managing himself indoors, even though he’s a large and curious fellow who likes to check things out. He may take a little time to settle into a new environment, but once he does, he relaxes beautifully and shows his sweet, laid-back personality.

Chubby thoroughly enjoys walks, couch time, and playing with his humans. He’s still learning how to play fetch and would love a family who’s willing to help him practice. He can be a bit shy at first, but with gentle patience, he warms up and becomes a loyal companion, especially if ear rubs are involved! He appears to be housetrained, and he does best with people who will give him time to adjust, regular exercise, and, of course, some good healthy treats.
