On walks, Basalt is a true explorer. He loves to sniff every inch of the trail while happily checking back in for treats and reassurance. He’s treat-motivated, eager to engage, and proud to show off a polite sit when asked. His sweet, affectionate nature shines through once he feels comfortable, and he’s more than happy to soak up pets anywhere he can get them.

While Basalt is confident and social, he does have a softer side. He can show some shy tendencies, especially in new situations, but he’s very respectful and responsive when given guidance. On a long line, he’s shown great recall skills and attentiveness, making him a joy to work with as he continues building confidence.
