Santa Paws … A Record-Breaking Turnout!

December 17, 2018

We are ho ho holidays here at Kitsap Humane Society after the completion of our fourth Santa Paws event last weekend! Over the course of four separate dates, we posed nearly 200 groups of people and pets with the man in red himself and raised just over $7,000 for shelter pets in need through this fun, annual event! We kicked off the season on November 18 here at Kitsap Humane Society with the help of Mary from Four Foot Photography and long-time Santa Claus volunteer Jeff B. The mood was festive and the energy was high!

On December 1 & 2 we made our way to Bay Hay and Feed on Bainbridge Island. Fiona from Fiona Margo Photography braved the elements to snap perfect pictures of animals and humans alike! From dogs and alpaca to goats and cats, we saw creatures with hooves, paws, and everything in between. And the babies!!!! So many cute little cheeks.

And we closed out the season on December 9 at Haselwood Auto Group’s West Hills Kia. Santa heard a LOT of toy requests and petted quite a few soft bellies at Kia while Four Foot Photography captured beautiful images.

This was the BEST SANTA PAWS YET and we are thrilled with both the turnout and with the generosity of our community. We wish you all a very happy holidays and can’t wait to see everyone in the new year!
