Kitsap Humane Society Gears Up For Big Weekend of Saving Lives

October 17, 2016

Kitsap Humane Society (KHS) is preparing for a big day of saving lives and placing pets in their forever homes during the Howl-O-Ween Adoption Extravaganza on Saturday, October 22 at the organization’s Silverdale shelter.

October is a busy month for the shelter- last October the shelter took in over 600 animals. In order to open up space and rescue more animals, KHS has set a goal to adopt out at least 50 pets during the one day Howl-O-Ween Adoption Extravaganza.  Adoption hours have even been extended so the shelter is open later to accommodate more families looking to adopt during the event. There will be a large selection of animals for adopters to choose from.

The family-friendly event will be Saturday, October 22 from Noon-6:30 p.m. and will feature the following adoption promotions:

– Fee-waived adoptions for all adult cats (over 6 months)
– Half-off adoptions for all kittens (under 6 months)
– $25 off all dog and puppy adoptions

In addition to these discounted adoption fees, KHS adoption counselors are onsite to help adopters find the best match for their family and lifestyle.
