Not every cat is happy sitting on a lap or playing with a ball of yarn. Some of them have a job to do. Such is the case with Working Cats. Our Working Cat Program is designed to find feral and community cats safe outdoor homes in barns, warehouses, farms, wineries and other safe locations for cats who are not candidates for our traditional adoption programs, but can greatly benefit their new people.
Currently, Kitsap Humane Society has very limited capacity to take in or house feral or community cats. For that reason, we will have a limited number of Working Cats available for adoption. To be added to our email list, please email a Working Cat Adoption Application to barncats@kitsap-humane.org. Once we receive your completed Application, you will receive updates when we have working cats available for adoption. You can also review our Available Pets page to see if we have Working Cats ready for homes. Ready to adopt a Working Cat (or two!)? Learn more about our adoption process on our How to Adopt page!
