February 24 @ 6:00 pm - 7:00 pm
Be a Part of the Community Cats Solution!
As a part of World Spay Day on February 24, Kitsap Humane Society has been given an opportunity to host a “Community Cats” Town hall, in cooperation with Humane World for Animals, formerly The Humane Society of the United States. Attendees will learn from national animal welfare experts about the issues surrounding cat colonies in our neighborhoods and how we can help. Among the topics covered will be:
• How to identify a “community cat”.
• Local resources that are available to help community cats.
• The basics of Trap-Neuter-Return and how you can help control the cat population.
• How people in your area are addressing cat colonies.
• How to create a plan of action to control the cat population.
• What you can do behind the scenes to assist in population control efforts.
If you’re interested in attending a free one-hour seminar and Q&A on Tuesday, February 24 at 6 p.m., please email KHS Director of Communications Mike Bush at mbush@kitsap-humane.org. And there will be snacks!
