Destiny’s search for a second chance

August 5, 2015

Hi! My name is Destiny (Intake #46856) and I’m hoping for a second chance after a rough start in life. I was found in bad shape, covered in wounds by a good Samaritan. I was treated at a local vet and then I arrived at KHS. My scars tell the story of neglect and pain, but despite it all, I still have hope and lots of love to give. I’m a friendly, sweet, playful young dog who adores people. Because I probably had scary experiences with dogs in the past, I will need slow and safe introductions with other dog friends. I’ve experienced abandonment before so I can be anxious and stressed when left alone. I need a caring, patient owner who can help me learn that being left home alone is OK. I do well on a leash and I love to play fetch. I’m good in a car, very smart and I learn quickly. I’m affectionate and trusting and hope someone will look past my damaged legs and ears and fall in love. Someone thought I was so special they even sponsored a portion of my adoption fee. You can meet me and other adoptable animals at the Kitsap Humane Society, open six days a week.
