DESCRIPTION:Get a head start on holiday shopping for the pet lover in your life\, or a treat for yourself during our Holiday Gift Auction! Funds raised go to support our lifesaving work. Check out our packages\, bid to your heart’s content\, and know you’re helping shelter pets in need. Together\, we are putting compassion into action. Our Holiday Auction runs from Wednesday\, Nov. 6 at 5 pm and ends at 7:30 pm on Sunday\, Nov. 17. Thank you for your support! \nMeet our beautiful 2024 Holiday Auction Spokespet- Mila! \n5-year-old Mila\, formally known as Cocoa\, won the hearts her parents in September 2023. Entering the halls of the Kitsap Humane Society\, Karyn and Robert knew Mila’s cute wiggly body and infectious smile were the perfect fit for their family. Joining her brother Charlie\, a 14-year-old Toy Fox Terrier\, these two enjoy hikes and walks nearly every day\, and are always fighting over who gets to sleep next to whom in the family bed. \nA unique mix of American Staffordshire Terrier\, Miniature Poodle\, and Pit Bull\, Mila was originally named Ziti when her family first adopted her. “I’m Italian\, and she has a long body like ziti pasta\,” says Karyn. “Most people we encountered didn’t know what ziti pasta was\, so we changed it after a week to Mila (not Italian\, go figure). But Mila figured out Ziti and\, subsequently\, her final name Mila in one day. Smart little girl!!!” \nMila’s favorite place to be is with her humans. She loves cuddle time and food- any food\, any time\, any place. Karyn says\, “she’s our special little girl!” \n  \nYou\, too\, can bid to have your furr-ever friend be the spokes-pet for 2025! DESCRIPTION:It’s the most wonderful time of the year — Santa Paws is coming to town! \nKitsap Humane Society’s Annual Santa Paws pet and family portraits are back! This festive event costs $20 per family and includes one family photo with Santa that will be emailed to participants digitally after the event. \nAll dogs must be on a leash and all other animals safely contained. Animals aren’t required! We have the best Santa in town so bring the kiddos and the family. Pictures are first come first served.
