DESCRIPTION:Kit Kat is still available for adoption! Read about Kit Kat!\nKitsap Humane Society is hosting an adoption meet and greet day for Kit Kat\, a ten-year-old tabby who has been in the care of the shelter for a year this coming Saturday\, March 26. \nThe goal? To give Kit Kat a break and find his forever home! \nKit Kat arrived at the Dickey Road shelter in March 2021 and has been looking for his purr-fect retirement home ever since! This adorable boy is an absolute lovebug and just wants to snuggle up next to you and nap! \nA drooler\, too\, Kit Kat always greets with the softest\, most gentle meow – the sweetest thing to come home to! Kit Kat loves pets and attention and is so easygoing. Kit Kat has been diagnosed with diabetes and requires daily insulin injections. His insulin costs about $50 a month\, and KHS will provide a full year’s supply of insulin and syringes upon adoption to help get adopters started! He is not on a prescription diet\, and his diabetes is effectively managed with a diet of Friskies pate wet food\, an affordable product that can be found in any pet store. \nBecause Kit Kat can be a little sassy some days\, he would prefer that all of his family members be over the age of 6. Kit Kat will also thrive in a home where any other pets have a quieter temperament\, to ensure that his space will be respected when he needs it. \nWant to bring Kit Kat home\, but not sure about his medical needs? Give him a trial run through our Foster to Adopt program! Take some time to simply get to know Kit Kat in your own home and then see if you’d like him to stay.
