DESCRIPTION:Our Holiday Food Drive is Underway!\nPlease join Kitsap Humane Society in a special food drive this November for people and pets in our community. \nOur goal is to stock the shelves of the Kitsap Humane Society Pet Food Pantry\, as well as the shelves of food banks throughout Kitsap County. \nWhen you donate groceries and pet food to Kitsap Humane Society\, you’re making sure that seniors and low-income families don’t have to make a choice between feeding themselves and feeding their pets. \nFor many of our neighbors on limited budgets\, the family pet is a cherished companion. Please\, help us help them this holiday season. \nDetails: Drop your donations at Kitsap Humane Society between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. daily during the month of November. We’ll have bins outside the shelter at 9167 Dickey Rd.\, Silverdale\, WA\,  98383. Our staff will deliver your donations to our local food bank partners\, or you can make donations  directly to your local food bank. \nPlease note: Perishable foods such as frozen turkeys should be donated directly to the food banks; non-perishable items should not be expired or about to expire; we cannot accept opened items. \nMost Needed Pet Food Items \nDry and wet cat food is in short supply at ALL local food banks! \nDog food \nMost Needed People Food Items \nCanned and bottled products such as peanut butter\, tuna\, chili\, beans\, soups\, fruit\, veggies\, tomato products\, juice\, milk \nDry goods such as beans\, boxed dinners\, instant potatoes\, rice\, pasta\, mac & cheese\, cereal\, crackers\, snack bars\, sugar. condiments\, tea\, coffee\, milk alternatives\, powdered drinks \nMost Needed for the Holiday Season: \nStuffing mix\, yams/sweet potatoes\, chicken broth\, gravy mix or canned gravy\, canned cranberries or fruit\, canned veggies \nOn behalf of the people and pets\, thank you for helping us build a more humane community for us all!\n  \n  \n
