Euthanasia & Cremation

The decision to have your pet humanely euthanized is a serious one and may be one of the most difficult decisions you will ever make. Although it is a personal decision, it need not be a solitary one. Your veterinarian, family and friends can help you make the right decision. Consider not only what is best for you and your family, but also what is best for your pet.

Kitsap Humane Society offers low-cost humane euthanasia services in a caring environment. Low-cost cremation services include group cremation (which means the animal is cremated with other clients’ and shelter animals and the owner does not get the ashes back) and private cremation (which means the animal is cremated individually and the owner gets the ashes back).

  • Euthanasia is scheduled by appointment only.
  • Euthanasia fees are determined by the weight of your pet and whether or not you wish to pick up the remains for burial.
  • Private cremation fees are determined by the weight of your pet.
