Planned Giving

What will be your legacy?

For over 55 years, Kitsap Humane Society has been devoted to saving animals’ lives. The more animals we rescue and find loving homes for the better. This is why we exist. This is our legacy. Make it part of yours, too, by including KHS in your will or other estate plans.

Friends Forever Society

The KHS Friends Forever Society has been established to recognize caring donors who have notified us that they have remembered KHS in their wills, bequests and other planned gifts.

If you believe in helping pets find lifelong, loving homes but don’t want to part with your financial assets today, a gift to KHS in your will or living trust may be the donation option you’ve been looking for. It has these benefits:

By including Kitsap Humane Society as a beneficiary of your will, trust, life insurance or retirement plan, you can provide a lasting testament to your love of animals that will help future generations of pets in need. You can also donate securities or real estate.

There are many options for planned gifts, which may provide you with tax benefits, increase your current income, or provide additional retirement income while reducing income tax and estate taxes . . . and the peace of mind in knowing that your support will literally save pets’ lives. It is important to explore your options with an estate attorney so that both you and the animals receive the full benefit of any considered gift.

We welcome the opportunity to help you explore your gift planning options, and can help direct you to other in-person financial and tax planning resources, as well. We would be glad to discuss any giving option with you in confidence and without obligation.

Please note that our legal name is: Kitsap Humane Society and tax ID # is: 91-0728353.
