Notice Regarding Kitsap County Licenses
Pet licensing services for unincorporated Kitsap County have been transferred from Kitsap Humane Society to Kitsap County. For more information on how to obtain a license for your pet in unincorporated Kitsap County, please visit the Kitsap County Pet Licensing website here.
Please Note: Licenses are purchased according to the address where the pet lives (Pets cannot have a PO Box – physical addresses are required). In order to receive a discounted fee, proof of spay/neuter is required if they are altered (as applicable).
Permanent Licenses are available to citizens 65 or older in unincorporated Kitsap County and the cities of Poulsbo and Bremerton. Please call (360) 692-6977 option 4 for customer service and more information.

- City of Bremerton: Licenses may be purchased, renewed or replaced through the Kitsap Humane Society. Please complete the following Bremerton License Application (non-service animal or service animal) and return or drop off with payment to Kitsap Humane Society at 9167 NW Dickey Rd., Silverdale, WA 98383.

Bremerton Municipal Code 7.08.010 (a) requires that all dogs and cats be licensed annually or within thirty calendar days from the date the owner acquires or takes up residence in the City of Bremerton. Animal licenses are good for one-year from the date of purchase. If you are unsure if your place of residence falls in Kitsap County or within the City of Bremerton limits, we have included the Kitsap County Parcel Search to aid in identifying your jurisdiction.

- City of Bremerton Chicken Licenses: The City of Bremerton has contracted the Kitsap Humane Society to process chicken licenses. Please complete the Chicken Permit Application listed below and submit payment to Kitsap Humane Society via in person or mail.
Chicken License Fees: $12.50 for up to 4 chickens annually
