Rocky is our Pet of the Week!

Hi, my name is Rocky (Intake #9609) and I can’t wait for you to take me home so we can be the best of friends! I was brought back to the shelter because my owners couldn't dedicate enough time for me. I’m a friendly guy and even get along well with smaller neutered male dogs and female dogs. I’m active and playful and looking for a family who will spend time with me. I’m crate-trained and I love biscuits, pepperoni and even carrots, but I’m allergic to wheat. To discover all that your life has been missing, come spend some time with me today.

Hoppity would love to meet you!

Hi, my name is Hoppity (Intake #21963) and I would love the chance to show you just how sweet I am. I’m very affectionate and I even have a great-looking milk mustache! I can be a little timid around new people, which is probably why I have been at the shelter since July! But now I’m relaxing in a staff member’s office and my real personality is starting to show. I’m a very calm, laid-back gal who loves chin rubs more than anything! Because I get startled easily, I need to go to a home without young children. A quiet, relaxed environment would be best for me.

It's almost 2013! Get your KHS calendar!

Order your 2013 KHS calendar and help support our animals. Calendars are $15 each and feature our shelter residents who have all found their forever homes. Thank you to Andy Jordan who donated his time and amazing talent to this project. All proceeds benefit the care of our current residents. Calendars can be shipped directly to you (for an additional $2 fee) or can be picked up at the shelter (we open every day at noon, except Tuesdays we are closed).

Katania is our Pet of the Week!

Hi, my name is Katania (Intake #25165). I’m looking for a fun family to call my very own! I was brought in as a stray from Port Orchard in early November. I love to play and hope I can find a new forever friend to entertain me. I’m very playful and because of my size and energy level, I would do best in a home with older children. A regimen of exercise and daily playtime sounds so perfect to me. Will you be my new playmate? Meet me and other adoptable animals at Kitsap Humane Society, open six days a week.

End-of-season kitten kraze!

It's an end-of-season kitten kraze at Kitsap Humane Society! Despite the falling snow, we still have kittens arriving at our shelter! Adopt a kitten for $125, but only for a limited time, so don't wait. Stop by and see if we have the perfect little kitty for you! But don't forget the shelter is closed Dec. 24-26 in observance of Christmas.
