Are you interested in fostering kittens?

Kitten season is here! If you are interested in fostering kittens (or already foster kittens for KHS) then you won’t want to miss the upcoming Kitten Shower and Foster Program Open House at 1 p.m. Saturday, April 20 in KHS’s Training Center. You’ll have an opportunity to learn about the kitten foster program, learn how to bottle-feed and vaccinate and meet other foster parents. There will be games, contests and refreshments. You can also bring a wish list item to donate.

Stop in and meet Ivy!

Hi, my name is Ivy (Intake #26748), and I’m more than just a pretty face with adorable ears! I radiate beauty from within and would love to show you just how loving I can be. I have been waiting patiently for someone to pick me as their forever friend. My favorite activity is fetch and I’m very good at it! But what I love the most is being with people. I’ll give you all the affection in the world. You can meet me and other adoptable animals at the Kitsap Humane Society, open six days a week.

Princess is our Pet of the Week!

Hi, my name is Princess (Intake #26898), but I’m looking for a home fit for a queen! All I ask for is lots of love and affection. I love being petted and will show you my appreciation with lots of kisses and purring. I’m a sweet girl who will make someone very happy to have me as their loyal companion. I’ve been waiting for my forever home since February when I was brought to the shelter because my owner could no longer take care of me. Do you have room in your home and heart? You can meet me and other adoptable animals at the Kitsap Humane Society, open six days a week.

Interim Eric Stevens Named Executive Director

Kitsap Humane Society’s Board of Directors announced today that Eric Stevens has been appointed executive director, effective April 1, 2013. Stevens has served as the agency’s interim executive director since February 2012.
Initially the Board estimated that the interim position would last 9-12 months. However, it soon became apparent that more time was needed to stabilize and grow KHS and, eventually, that Stevens was the right person to do it.
