A ferret “tail”: rehoming rescues

It started with a phone call.

Meet Our Friend Tom

Hello, my name is Tom (Intake #19679) and, I admit, I love attention. Just scratch my cheeks and I’ll be your best friend forever. Though sometimes I have a funny way of showing it and I’m not afraid to let you know when I’m ready for some alone time. So I’m looking for an adult home where I can come and go, inside and outdoors, as I please. Please come meet me and other adoptable animals at Kitsap Humane Society, open six days a week.

Learn About Volunteering at Upcoming Info Session

Kitsap Humane Society is hosting an information session from 6-7 p.m., Wednesday, July 18, in the Training Center for anyone who is interested in joining our volunteer team! Topics to be covered include what we do in each department here at the shelter, what the current volunteer opportunities are and how to get started. Volunteers must be at least 13 years old (ages 13-15 must volunteer with a parent or guardian; ages 16-17 with parent consent) and should be able to commit to at least eight hours per month for six months.

Ruby is a Real Gem!

Hi, my name is Ruby (Intake #19083) and I’m a real gem! So I just can’t figure out why I was left in a box on the side of the road a few months ago. I mean, I am pretty smart. I know commands like “stay,” “off” and “drop.” Plus, I’m house-trained and I’ll even let you know when I need to go outside. Oh, and I love going for walks! I’m calm and playful, too, and I would be happiest as the only dog in my forever home. Please come meet me and other adoptable animals at Kitsap Humane Society, open six days a week.
