Tony wants to be your pal

Hi! My name is Tony (Intake # 35611) and I’m a real nice guy. I enjoy going for walks and would make a delightful walking partner. I would be happiest in a quiet home. New people coming and going sometimes scares me and I can be afraid of some dogs, but not all. However, if you comfort me, I’m fine. Actually, comfort is my favorite word. I love a warm blanket and plushy little toys. The staff and volunteers at the shelter say I’m a pretty swell guy. Do I sound like your perfect best friend? You can meet me and other adoptable animals at the Kitsap Humane Society, open six days a week.

This beauty would love to meet you!

Hi! I’m gorgeous Smokey (Intake # 36057) and I’m looking for a new home to provide me with lots of love! In return, I’ll provide you with hours of purring and affection. I’m an 8-year-old longhaired girl with a super soft, fluffy coat and wispy ears. I’m declawed which means I need to go to an indoor-only home. I was surrendered to the shelter because my owner had to move to a no-pets-allowed apartment, but reported that I’m a wonderful cat with lots of love to give. I’m a little scared in the shelter environment so I’m currently hanging out in a staff member’s office.

Stop in and meet Taylor!

Hi, my name is Taylor (Intake #32815) and I’m looking for a new place to call home. I originally arrived from California, was adopted for a short time, but returned because I was afraid of the wheelchair used by the roommate in my previous home. I know several commands and I’m good on a leash. I love going for walks, so you if you need a tried and true walking companion, I’m your man. I had the run of the house when previously left alone. I will run to you and then to the door to let you know I have to go outside. I’m described as active and friendly.

Ferris would love to be your new friend!

Hi, my name is Ferris (Intake #35344) and I’ve been at the shelter for two months hoping someone will pick me. Just look at this sweet face of mine! It was recently discovered that I’m FIV-Positive. But don’t let this scare you! Cats with this disease can live many healthy, happy years and I’m only 4. However, I do need to go to a home with no other cats or one with other FIV-Positive kitties. I like attention and I like to see you up close. I can get over stimulated so a home without small children would be best for me.

Do you have room in your heart for Casper?

Hi, my name is Casper (Intake #35225) and I’m a friendly and mellow young Shepherd mix. I was abandoned and have not previously had a chance to enjoy playing ball, going for walks or other outdoor activities, but I love them! I don't like being left home alone too much, but I love being home with you! When you adopt me, the shelter will give you a crate for me to sleep in when you are away. If you need help keeping me comfortable, the shelter can provide you with some great tips. I may have to take medication until I adjust to a new and happy life with you. Will you be my special friend?
