Princess is our Pet of the Week!

Hi, my name is Princess (Intake #26898), but I’m looking for a home fit for a queen! All I ask for is lots of love and affection. I love being petted and will show you my appreciation with lots of kisses and purring. I’m a sweet girl who will make someone very happy to have me as their loyal companion. I’ve been waiting for my forever home since February when I was brought to the shelter because my owner could no longer take care of me. Do you have room in your home and heart? You can meet me and other adoptable animals at the Kitsap Humane Society, open six days a week.

Interim Eric Stevens Named Executive Director

Kitsap Humane Society’s Board of Directors announced today that Eric Stevens has been appointed executive director, effective April 1, 2013. Stevens has served as the agency’s interim executive director since February 2012.
Initially the Board estimated that the interim position would last 9-12 months. However, it soon became apparent that more time was needed to stabilize and grow KHS and, eventually, that Stevens was the right person to do it.

Mater is the man!

Hi, my name is Mater (Intake #16630) and I’m one cool dude looking for some new digs. I’m an active, friendly guy who would love to be your new companion. I have lots of energy so if you’re looking for an outdoor partner who likes fun activities then look no further because I’m your man. I would do best in a home with no shy dogs or cats and no young children because of my active personality. Though, I do have a soft side and I like to relax with a Nylabone or gaze out the window at the world passing by.
