Almeda Wilson followed her heart to realize a dream in the early 1950’s. She created the first Board of Directors in 1961, and incorporated KHS September 1963. She thanks all for keeping her dream alive. KHS since 1989 has operated from the Dickey Rd location. Most importantly, we keep the true Humane Society operating throughout the county of Kitsap, and even beyond. “We are what we repeatedly do.
